Rockmelon's CONNECT+LEARN allows users to record real-time data and monitor the child’s development over time. Users can create a Team, set goals and record session reports. The platform also contains a huge range of specially developed content to support users to help them help their child reach their best outcome.
Here is a list of the most valuable features on Rockmelon's CONNECT+LEARN according to our users (therapists, clinicians, families, educators):
Skills: A Skill is structured content designed to help users develop new skills for assisting children with autism and other developmental delays. We have an extensive list of skills that come in every shape and form! From videos, to audio, to text only.
Flashpacks: Rockmelon Flashpacks are a digitally reimagined version of traditional flashcards. Rockmelon Flashpacks also include a huge range of VIDEO Flashpacks, which can help children learn the context of the flashcard as well as the word, for example, ‘running’ can be shown as a short video flashcard - not just a still image.
Goals: Setting goals helps users know what sort of content they need and our platform tailors the program to reflect this.
Team: The team feature is for all the people who surround and support a child through their development journey. The team is made for parents, relatives, therapists, speech pathologists, teachers and babysitters and every Team is different!
Team is a great way to centralise all communications around the child’s development and ensure everyone is always on the same page. What is also good about our team function is that Teams are a great way to centralise, track and record information and data on the child’s developmental progression.
Calendar: Calendar helps ensure your Team knows what is happening. You and other members in your Team have the ability to create events and then invite other members to that event. Whether it is a speech therapy session or library day at preschool, everyone on the child’s Team will have clear visibility across the child’s schedule on any given day.
Notes: Notes are another way to ensure everyone on your Team is informed and up-to-date. You can ask parents to write a Quick Note to the Team or capture a more detailed Session Report on the child's therapy session. Using Quick Notes daily also allows users to start tracking valuable data on the child’s progress.
Note Comments: Comments can be added to Quick Notes and Session Reports to help facilitate communication between Team members. Comments can be used when you have a question for the child’s parents or teacher, or to start a discussion on a Quick Note with your other Team members.
